These last three days would have been much more difficult if it wasn’t for Nancy and her kind, compassionate care and treatment of my mother.
Nancy was a very warm and caring nurse. We spent a lot of time under her care, and my wife went to meet the Lord. I just want everyone to know how wonderful she was.

My mom was admitted to the hospital and eventually made her way to the MICU. Nancy was her day nurse during the last three days of her life. Over those three days, Nancy went above and beyond answering every question anyone in the family had, from the mundane to the very technical. She also treated my mother with great compassion. My family and I were at the hospital every day, and Nancy quickly became a de facto member of our family. It was very clear she was pulling for my mom, and she was doing everything she could to help mom through this difficult time. It was also clear she knew what she was doing and was always there for our family in one of the most difficult times of our life. She took the time out of her very busy schedule to also just sit with us and talk when it was clear we just needed a diversion from my mother’s struggling. These last three days would have been much more difficult if it wasn’t for Nancy and her kind, compassionate care and treatment of my mother. I will forever be grateful that we were so lucky to have Nancy taking care of my mother.

During my Mother's last days, Nancy was the first sight of optimism we saw in the hospital. She saw it in her kind soul to go above and beyond where others had lacked in caring for her. Nancy was always warm and consoling and able to connect with us in a way I wouldn’t have expected; she is a medallion in the rough! Nancy did everything she could to make sure we understood what was happening, and she was very considerate and forthcoming when our family had any questions or concerns.

Nancy always made sure to ask if we needed anything before she left the room after checking on Mom. Before, when we would ask about her health, we were dismissed and ignored, both as a family and also my mother, as a patient. Nancy was on the ball, always one step ahead- as much as she could be for the circumstances. Such a beautiful soul who should know how much she is appreciated. Beyond words, my dear, beyond words! You are exactly what this world is missing!
