Nancy received 5 nominations which came from peers and other staff. A theme that emerged was Nancy's willingness to keep helping and to make all her work time meaningful. She consistently provides the highest quality of care to her patients even on the busiest most stressful days. She helps with pre-op phone calls so we stay on top of them. She is a committed team member and goes to other departments to help if needed as explained in one nomination - she explained to the clinic RNs how to scan a medication and just to make sure, she went to the clinic and helped them get the job done. One of her colleagues noted that Nancy is a "quiet giant," quietly doing her job of helping patients. Because she is quiet, she can listen well and takes what she hears from the patient and family and acts on it to help the child while always staying calm.
