Nancy consulted lactation to help teach her how to use a breast pump for her hospitalized and ventilated patient to help prevent this mother from suffering discomfort and helping her to maintain her milk supply so she will be able to breastfeed her baby after she is discharged. Nancy jumped right in and advocated for this mother and was eager to learn how to provide best care for this patient. Nancy truly demonstrated what a great nurse does.
