The unit had a homeless person that was being discharged with nowhere to go. The next day the person was planning to contact a local church for assistance. All the shelters in the city were full. The night was cold and very rainy. The chaplaincy was contacted for assistance to no avail. Two nurses paid for a night in a hotel, each contributing $50.00.
