I had surgery and was discharged 3 days later. Nurse Nancy was my nightshift nurse each night. Her bedside manner is stellar. She was very attentive and observant in my care. I believe those above and beyond characteristics saved my life and if that's being too dramatic, I do credit her for my recovery. Each day never felt like progress. My blood pressure was steadily dropping along with my oxygen level. I actually started to decline in my opinion. I developed a headache that was making me ill. She quickly recognized what was happening and made the decision to stop the morphine drip. By morning I was starting to feel better with better blood pressure readings as well as oxygen. I'm grateful for her care and concern. It went beyond any oath she could have taken as a nurse and spoke volumes to her humanity.
