Nancy Wright, RN on the 6 West Med/Surg unit, was nominated for a DAISY Award by one of her patients, who said,

“I recently had surgery. I also have other health issues that complicated things a bit. Nancy was my nurse for all three days I was there. She always came in the morning with a smile and an upbeat story about her puppy that morning. She was always on top of my needs before I even asked. She made me feel like she sincerely cared what I was feeling. Especially when I had to go home with a cath (not happy), she quickly showed me how to deal with the situation using her humor and even made me laugh.

Nancy and her nursing assistants were great together. They truly complimented one another. Thank you!”
