Nanetten “Nan,” was wonderful with my disabled daughter. She had surgery recently and is very scared of hospitals. Nan took her time, was patient, and advocated for both my daughter and us, her parents. When my daughter refused an IV, Nan said, “We can wait.” Then, 10 minutes later, my daughter was ready and calmly let her start the IV. Later, Nan came and got me before my daughter arrived at the PACU and helped her wake up smoothly.
