Nurse Nunthisa Kongsila is one of the amazing registered nurses at BNH Hospital's Women Health Center (Outpatient Obstetrics Clinic). Ever since she graduated 3 years ago, she has been working with us, devoting herself to the better care for the patients. Her colleagues described her as a loving nurse with so much talent, calm attitude, friendliness, good decision making skill, respect for the others, and willingness to sacrifice herself for others etc. She's the life of the department and the more we know about her, the more we are so fond of her kindness. Her supervisor once said "it's hard to find a young nurse with so much talents and knowledge as well as the ability to be mature and develop good judgement while being respectful to others as nurse Nunthisa." We have received numerous compliments and words of gratitude from many patients on how nurse Nunthisa has made differences in their lives.
One of the patients wrote to us "I have received words from my doctor that my pap smear test result was abnormal. I was truly scared for my life since I have heard many stories about cervical cancer. I called to over 10 hospitals including the hospital I received the exam whether they could do further examination. It was late in the evening already and most doctors already clocked out. I started to panic even more and that's when I decided to take the last chance that evening and called BNH Hospital. Nurse Nunthisa answered the phone. She spoke to me with such calm and genuine manner. I kept crying and crying over the phone. Nurse Nunthisa never gave up on calming me down and giving me encouraging words. She knew that I was upset and advised me to stay on the phone, venting out my feelings to her. Once I arrived at the hospital, nurse Nunthisa already told the staff to take me to the clinic right away instead of waiting for the registration process at the front. Nurse Nunthisa greeted me, telling me to be strong. She never left my side until I got to see the doctor. The doctor was very good at explaining with such calm and friendly manner. I was much more relaxed and felt in control of my life again. Who knew how things would have turned out if nurse Nunthisa wasn't the one answering my phone? I'm truly thankful for having such a wonderful nurse, taking care of me during this time of crisis."
