Naomi House 2, RN

Naomi has been working at Akron General for over a decade. She has always been involved in hospital activities, but over the last few years, she has participated in many and shown herself to be a role model in multiple ways. She leads the 61/64 Psychiatry UBC group, is the unit liaison for professional development meetings, and updates the unit bulletin board to impart information to staff. Naomi is the primary preceptor for all new RNs practicing in the psychiatry ED triage. She staffs the lobby information table every fall for mental health awareness. She has been the primary fundraising coordinator for community mental health as the fall NAMI walk leader every year and is leading the 2021 Greater Akron Heart Walk fundraiser. Naomi leads the annual Christmas party for all our patients, making sure that everyone has a gift bag and candy. Few nurses can match her level of commitment.
