Naomi goes above and beyond to show compassion and fairness towards her students. She has made a huge impact in the lives of the 2nd degree track in both our first and second semester here on campus. She has shown us love and grace and deserves this nomination! Professor Jones has been an extraordinary teacher and mentor. It’s one thing to have support at home but to have it from your professor at school and in the classroom is a gift. She is always asking how she can improve as a professor to make sure we are getting the most out of our education. She is always encouraging the 2nd degree student to do their best and not to give up. She prays for us and let’s us know she is there whenever we need her. Professor Jones is the definition of the DAISY Award! The second week of class in the first semester she presented each person with a stone. The stone had a word on it that each said person have spoken to Professor Jones the week prior as the word they word that would help them get through the program. She took the time out of her busy week to create a tangible way to actually carry our word with us through this journey
