I am nominating Natalia for a DAISY Award to recognize her exceptional care, communication, and dedication to her patients. While caring for a patient who had been medically cleared but was awaiting placement for multiple days, Natalia noticed abnormalities in their vital signs. The situation was particularly challenging, as the patient was completely disoriented and unable to provide any subjective information about their condition. Despite this, Natalia demonstrated outstanding clinical judgment and perseverance. From the start of her shift to the end, Natalia worked tirelessly to ensure the patient received the appropriate level of care. She diligently communicated with the physician, administered necessary medications, and coordinated with multiple parties involved in the patient's care. Her persistence and advocacy ultimately led to the patient being transferred to a setting where they could receive the care they needed. Throughout this process, Natalia continued to provide compassionate and high-quality care to her other patients, ensuring none of them felt overlooked. Her ability to manage complex situations with empathy and professionalism is truly inspiring. Natalia's exceptional concern, communication, and commitment to her patients exemplify the qualities of a DAISY Award honoree. She is a shining example of the impact one nurse can make.
