I would like to recognize Natalia, Senior Sister in Bradford Emergency Department, for her truly exceptional compassion, professionalism, and leadership.

Natalia is an outstanding, highly experienced nurse, an inspirational mentor, and a deeply valued colleague. Kindness, empathy, and compassion are at the heart of everything she does. She consistently goes above and beyond for her patients and her team, and she has an exceptional ability to maintain calm, safety, and flow within the department even in the most pressured situations.

Recently, I experienced Natalia’s care not only as her colleague but as her patient. During an extremely vulnerable time, she made me feel completely safe, protected, and dignified. Her clinical excellence, emotional intelligence, and unwavering professionalism ensured that I was referred promptly to the appropriate teams, that my confidentiality was preserved, and that I was treated with the utmost compassion and respect throughout.

Knowing Natalia was caring for me meant everything. Her presence alone brought reassurance, trust, and comfort. She is the kind of nurse every patient hopes to have and every colleague hopes to work alongside.

Natalia is an enormous asset to Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She embodies everything the DAISY Award represents and everything our Trust stands for.
