Natalie was nominated by the mother of a baby who spent nearly three months in the NICU. The nomination reads:

Natalie has been with our daughter almost since her first days in the NICU. It has been 80-plus days here, and there is no way we could have done it without Natalie. Her great communication skills and compassionate personality have made this experience much easier. Natalie has been a huge advocate for our family.

When we couldn't find the words, Natalie was able to let the doctors know professionally what we wanted to say. Her undeniable patience made a world of difference. We could go back to work with absolutely no worry when we had Natalie as our daughter's nurse. Natalie went above and beyond and loved our daughter like she was her own. Natalie cared so much for our family and made us feel 100 percent confident in our daughter's recovery. Natalie deserves this award for her loving and understanding, her professionalism and communication, for being an overall incredible NICU nurse!
