Natalie started her shift with me at 7:00 am as soon as I was brought to L&D. As the day progressed, my epidural started wearing off and the pain was so intense I did not want to make a big deal about it but I knew there was no way I could deliver my baby if I were to continue experiencing this type of pain. Natalie came into the room and she said "don't worry about making a big deal, you SHOULD make a big deal about it, you need to advocate for how you are feeling." She went and informed the anesthesiologist, who was in the OR, that I needed him and he came right away once he finished with his other patient. I got my second epidural and everything went fine. Natalie advocated for me when I was too scared to and I cannot thank her enough for that.

Her shift ended at 7:00 pm so she was not there for the delivery of my baby but she got me through what was really the roughest part of the process. I don't know how she does what she did with me with multiple patients at a time per shift. I am truly floored by her empathy, advocacy, and compassion. You rock Natalie!

Thank you, Natalie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
