Today we had a very sick cancer patient who has had many nurses in the past. You could say she’s somewhat of an expert at noticing who does a great job. I’ve watched Natalie for over three years, and I can honestly say I haven’t seen any nurse pay as much attention to detail as she does every single day on every single patient. Her work is impeccable, and she has a heart of gold. The patient we had today kept getting choked up because, as a patient, you know when someone truly cares. You know when someone gives you their heart. You know when someone knows their job well and performs it well. We had many procedures done on this patient down in the ER. She was an incredibly difficult stick as well. Natalie is one of the best all-around nurses we have. Today she touched this patient’s heart just in time because it had been a while since she had anyone who followed through. Natalie treats her patients and co-workers like family. Hands down, one of the best nurses I have ever seen.
