My husband was admitted for heart failure and ended up having LVAD surgery. As with any surgery, we were scared and had a lot of questions. Natalie was so professional in her nursing skills, but as important, she was so personable; answering our thousands of questions without ever making us feel like a nuisance, always explaining things to our level of medical knowledge.

I felt an instant closeness to her, like I was talking to one of my daughters. As if several days of being extremely professional, kind, and helpful weren’t enough, she went even further when the chaplain came in to pray over my husband and granddaughter, who was also having heart surgery. Natalie stopped everything she was doing and prayed with us. Of all the fabulous nurses we have had the pleasure of dealing with while here at Mayo, Natalie stood out to us as truly outstanding.
