Natalie Ligas, RN

I would like to share our experience with Natalie, our robotic nurse. She met with us before my husband, D, had a partial nephrectomy and came to see him after the procedure. D developed some complications, Ileus. and was moved to the 5th floor for 6 days. Even though she wasn't a nurse on that floor, she came in to see D every day with her friendly smile and her true concern for his well-being. She became our advocate and went beyond what is expected of a nurse.

We had some issues on the floor. Natalie took it upon herself to help D in any way she could. She texted the Doctor to get my question answered, brought sugar-free drinks, sponges to moisten his mouth, and got his IV to stop beeping among other things. She has also called several times since we have been home, checking on D and to see if we had any questions or concerns.

We would like to see Natalie receive the DAISY Award as she is definitely a compassionate, caring, and skilled nurse with the main interest of helping D with a complete recovery.
