June 2019 Honoree
natalie m gordon, BSN, RN
Natalie worked the night shift in the maternity ward/nursery the 1st night when we had our daughter, N. With the complications that N experienced right at birth, Natalie stayed in the Nursery with her all night as N needed 24-hour supervision. Natalie did her best to clean and comfort N as she was hooked up to oxygen, an IV, and numerous sensors due to her complications. After that first night, we realized that N would be there for at least 5 more days in order for her to receive antibiotics, perform additional tests, and to be continuously monitored 24/7. Natalie was the nurse a few nights later while N was still in the hospital and stood for what seemed like hours in the middle of the night consoling N so both N and her mother (my wife) could get some much-needed sleep. Natalie was respectful, nice, and very informative to every question and request that my wife and I had. Natalie along with the numerous other nurses and staff at Pottstown Hospital helped our daughter N in her most vulnerable stage of life and we are forever grateful.
Thank you, Natalie M., for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
