When our eight week old was admitted to the hospital for feeding and breathing issues we were terrified and overwhelmed. Natalie's kindness, knowledge of our baby's issues and care, and willingness to be an advocate for our family was much needed during this stressful time. Throughout our stay, Natalie was our nurse a majority of the time. She was a fantastic nurse who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She also went above and beyond to provide education about how to manage our son's new g-tube when we went home by providing opportunities to learn how to do feedings. While we were excited to go home after spending 10-days in the hospital, we were sad to have to leave the staff on the Pediatrics Floor at Carle because they became like family to us, and Natalie was at the heart of it all. I cannot say enough wonderful stuff about the care Nurse Natalie gave to our family.
