Natalie Nebel, RN

I am writing to nominate Natalie Nebel, RN, for the DAISY Award. I recently had a 2-day hospital stay and am so incredibly grateful to have had Natalie as my nurse. For me, being in the hospital is always an unsettling and scary experience, but Natalie managed to make it so much more pleasant. No matter how busy she was, even if it was nearing the end of her shift, her kindness and unwavering dedication showed. Anytime she came into my room, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance. She was not only an incredibly skilled nurse, but she also took the time to listen to my concerns and ensure that I felt truly cared for. She has an amazing, natural ability to accomplish the necessary tasks with genuine compassion. She always made me feel seen and heard, and I never felt as if I were forgotten. While the doctors only had time to stop by once a day, she was amazing, serving as a liaison between them and me to be sure that every concern of mine was addressed and every question answered. I truly felt like she was an advocate for me. Even during her busiest times, I always felt like I was a priority. Her attentiveness and kind demeanor brightened the room and truly made a difference in my stay. In both my past hospital stays and those where I was caring for my dad, I can say, without a doubt, that Natalie is the most capable and attentive nurse I have ever encountered. I am incredibly thankful to have had her as my nurse and will never forget her.
