Natalie was so considerate and made every effort to keep my husband comfortable. He was in serious condition, but she was positive and upbeat, which always lifted his spirits. My husband did not want to eat. Natalie asked if he liked milkshakes and if he liked chocolate. She contacted the kitchen and had a milkshake sent up to him. He enjoyed it and finished the whole thing. This turned out to be the last thing he ate.
Natalie spent as much time as possible in our room and was so comforting to me. She hugged me and made every effort to show compassion, as she could see how upset I was over his condition. She was instrumental in getting permission for my daughter to come up and bring his clothing for a short visit, which meant so much while he was partially aware she was there.
Professionally, Natalie took care of all his needs and complicated medications. But she went far beyond that to help us through a most difficult time. My husband came home with Hospice care and passed away four days later. I will always remember Natalie's caring and special treatment for my husband and myself.
