Natalie and I started the same day in orientation. She was so warm and inviting. I was happy to hear we were working in the same department. I have enjoyed watching her grow. She was a good nurse to start but now she is a charge nurse.

She volunteered to work nights when we were short. She always asks if you need help. She is an example for every nurse. I know that everyone appreciates everything she does. There are numerous stories of her stepping in to help me bathe, of her getting pain medication for other nurses, of her running around every room to make sure everyone has everything they need.

But what I appreciate most is her genuine gratitude. Natalie thanked me often and it always got me through the hard days. I will miss her from the bottom of my heart. I hope to become a leader like she is.
