Natalie Santos was nominated by one of our patients who served in the military for 20 years and then became ill in retirement. He nominated Natalie for her professionalism, integrity, compassion, clinical skills and kindness. From our patient: "Words cannot explain how she made me feel. She treated me with love and respect. Natalie is one of the best nurses in the world. I watch you and can see, this is how you perform every day." Our patient said he has never found a nurse as wonderful as Natalie. He was in pain and respiratory distress and said he knew she truly cared for him and treated him as a unique person. Our patient was grateful that she was put in his path.
