Natalie Smith was nominated by one of her patients who had no family that was able to come to the hospital. The patient was scheduled for a procedure in just a few hours and was very scared. Natalie tried multiple times to get a hold of the family and was unsuccessful. Natalie asked the patient if it would be ok that she went with her to the procedure and once it was done she would continue to attempt to call her family. The patient agreed. The procedure was done, and the family was contacted and the patient was very thankful for everything Natalie did for her.
