December 2021 Honoree
Natasha L. Smith, RN
During an adolescent's consult with APN in clinics, the patient's mom became psychotic and Natasha was able to keep her safe until the LCPC could evaluate. She then focused her attention on the 14-year-old patient and established a rapport with him. Demonstrating a caring attitude and extraordinary clinical skills. She helped the minor connect with family in town and he would not have to be taken into custody by Project OZ. She cared for the patient with great cooperation and ensured he was taken care of. She lived the mission every moment of the interaction.
Thank you, Natasha, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
