Natasha eased the pain as much as she could with her caring and compassionate care provided.
A fellow nurse from another hospital in our system was admitted to Labor and Delivery for induction of labor of an intrauterine fetal demise (IUFD) at 32 weeks gestation. The morning prior, this nurse was at work and a patient pushed her into a wall and she hit her lower back. Natasha was assigned to this patient during this tragic event. This patient’s labor was long. Natasha walked her to the balcony for a change of scenery and our patient appreciated the diversion. Also, she went to NICU and retrieved outfits, keepsakes, and a blanket for her baby. Natasha also coordinated photographs to take after the delivery. This was such a sad situation and Natasha eased the pain as much as she could with her caring and compassionate care provided. Natasha let her know she admired her bravery as the patient wanted to stay strong for her other children at home. Other patients and colleagues describe Natashia as very friendly, helpful, caring, attentive, and empathetic. Natasha is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Nursing and will graduate next year with her daughter!
