I was scheduled at TGH for an outpatient TEE and Cardioversion procedure. However, when my heart was shocked, it did not restart for several minutes and I was placed in the ICU. My heart rate plummeted to 28 and a pacemaker was implanted after a temporary pacemaker was attached during a heart Cath procedure. Natassa cared for me in the ICU during the most critical time of my several day stay.
A simple heart Cath procedure turned into an in-patient stay with multiple emergency procedures. Natassa helped me through this very emotional time of my stay. She helped me to relax and accept what was happening to me. Because of her, I was able to rest and not worry. Natassa was there to care for my every need, from monitoring my critical vital signs to my dry mouth and proper pillow support for my arm.
