My mom was in the ICU following a major surgery. One nurse showed exceptional compassion and kindness, Nate. We felt Nate went above and beyond making us and my mom comfortable and informed regarding her stay. We wanted him every day, however, he did have to have a day off..darn. My mom was in the ICU for 5 days, and the only time we felt comfortable leaving her was when Nate was there caring for her. My mom developed Cdiff while she was in there, and Nate was so helpful with that also. Nate deserves the DAISY Award for the wonderful nurse he is.
