My brother-in-law was in the CCU, dying of respiratory failure from COPD. Nate was his nurse and the excellent care he provided was over and above. His caring and understanding made what was a horrible situation much easier to handle. When my sister was exhausted and wracked with grief, he personally escorted her to the patient’s room. When adult children came to visit, he helped to explain the prognosis to them so they could understand the decision my sister had to make to remove the ventilator. They had been second-guessing her decision and his ability to explain to the family enabled everyone to have a beautiful last visit together. He was very attentive and checked on us often if we needed water or coffee, etc. Very compassionate and caring nurse. I am so thankful for the excellent care he provided our loved one.
