Nate was the most patient person I’ve ever met in my life.
Nate cared for me on at least two occasions during my week stay. I was extremely medicated and experiencing hallucinations/delusions during my stay. I’m positive I was one of the more difficult patients this nurse has ever had to deal with. I don’t remember much as far as my indiscretions, but some things are beginning to return. I recall attempting to run from the hospital on 2 occasions. I also remember ripping out my IV and not heeding his advice whatsoever. I recall being extremely rude and short-tempered with Nate. I returned to the hospital and had no immediate recollection of what I have done.

Nate was very kind to me when I returned. He showed me nothing to lead me to believe he was angry or upset with me. Instead, I apologized, and Nate said it wasn’t necessary and he was just glad I decided to come back. My memory is still very foggy from the time I was there. I do however have some very clear memories of him being empathetic, caring, and highly interested in my well-being. When I continued to over and over forget when I took my last injection of medication and told him it was time for my injection, he calmly and graciously reminded me how many hours it had been and how long I had to wait until my next dose.

Nate was the most patient person I’ve ever met in my life. My family told me how I was behaving in general but for my benefit, they left out the worst of it to spare me any more embarrassment. In my eyes, he’s a hero as well as being partly responsible for my remaining clean so, Thank you, Nate!
