Nathan has been my daughter’s nurse for 4 consecutive days and has been absolutely incredible the entire time. He has gone above and beyond to make her stay as positive as possible. He never wavered when I questioned getting a wagon to give her a change of scenery. Switching over all the monitors and getting oxygen ready can be quite the production and he jumped right into it without a second thought. All of this is just for 3 laps around the unit. But it made my daughter happy and gave her a few moments of joy that was his only concern.
Whenever he has had to do labs, empty a drain, administer medication he has been an absolute delight and talks to her the entire time to comfort her and talk her through it. Having Nathan as her nurse during this stay has certainly given a sense of positivity to her hospitalization and CHOP is extremely lucky to have a nurse that is so dedicated to this position and his patients.
