During my first clinical rotation at Mount Sinai Hospital, I had the privilege of working with Nawell Moustefaoui on 8 West, an experience that profoundly shaped my view of nursing. Nawell created a supportive environment from day one, using every moment as a teaching opportunity and modeling calm confidence and empathy.
Her genuine compassion for patients and encouragement of my growth inspired me and reinforced why I chose nursing. Because of her guidance, I left my first clinical feeling more competent and motivated, carrying lessons that will stay with me throughout my career.
