We wanted to take the time to recognize one of our RNs who has gone above and beyond to assist a patient, on her own time and with excellent care. We had a very sick 3-year old patient who was awaiting EMS transport to the ED and needed an IV placement. They called Nayeli, who had just clocked out on this Friday evening and was on the way out of the clinic. Despite her exciting plans for the night (she was ready to go out with coworkers; waiting for them to get off work), Nayeli came upstairs to place the IV (done very gracefully and successful, we might add). This was actually a very difficult IV placement, since the patient was dehydrated, but Nayeli Gomez did an excellent job and was constantly reassuring not only the patient, but the parents and sibling in the room as well.
We feel so fortunate to work with Nayeli Gomez. She deeply cares for our patients and prioritizes their needs, delivering the excellent, quality care our organization strives for, day in and day out. She demonstrates the utmost commitment, consistently coming into work at our clinic, even on the normally scheduled off-days, so we would love to applaud and express our dearest gratitude to such an amazing individual.
