Neda worked tirelessly with my team of doctors relaying any questions or concerns I had.
I am a cancer patient. Things were really bad and my wife had to call an ambulance to have me brought to U of C as last-minute immunotherapy chemo became toxic when I hardly awoke the following day. My body was crashing and had to be put on life support. When I was finally able to be moved safely off life support, I came to the unit. I still had no idea what happened, how bad it was, etc. Nurse Neda was there to help me and my family every step of the way to get better and stronger. My wife had support from Neda explaining things to me as it was difficult for my wife and family to explain. Neda went above and beyond to help me and assist me with anything. She worked tirelessly with my team of doctors relaying any questions or concerns I had. The Doctors were great too. They would come into (unit) to visit and check my improvements thanks to some requests from Neda. She actually helped in the assistance to be moved to Northwestern hospital for my start of therapy. Neda was great the whole time I was here when I had the honor to have her as my nurse. She was there the most. All the other nurses were great, but Neda, when I was lucky enough to have her as my nurse went above and beyond the call of duty. I thank God every day for people who are compassionate about their job and care for other people like Neda. It takes a special kind of person to do what she did for me and my family and I am forever grateful. Thank you.
