My wife came to St. Luke's emergency room with extensive blood clots on her lungs and paralysis on her left side. Later that afternoon, she was taken to Neuro ICU 1st floor. Nedal was her nurse. Everything was fine with her until around 11:45 p.m. that night. Nedal could tell from his training that something terrible was happening to her, and very quickly. She told him that she had SEVERE headaches and chest pains. Nedal immediately contacted the doctor on duty and told them she had serious health issues and should be given a CT scan. The scan showed bleeding on the brain and they operated immediately to save her life. Nedal was so concerned with my wife's condition that he did not take a break. My wife to date can see, hear, and is mobile on her right side. Her long term memory is normal with short term memory periodic problems. She is able to eat whatever she wants with normal swallowing. Mobility on her left side is still an issue with slow progress. Without Nedal's swift proactive attention to my wife's health issues, she may not be with her husband, four children, and nine grandchildren. Nedal's attention to his patient's health care will always be imprinted on my memory.
