Ms. Neela is an exceptional nurse who is hardworking, a team player, competent, intelligent, and provides excellent care and compassion to her patients.
Even if not her patient she answers the call bell and attends to the patient, covers for other staff who are occupied, and reminds them of their patient's needs. Once we had a pregnant colleague and she assisted her in accomplishing paper requirements for her Maternity leave as her pregnant colleague could hardly walk on her own. She will do any extra work without the expectation of extra time off or compensation.
In the beginning, she was intimidated by the use of computers, the challenge became bigger when all medications need to be processed through the computer, Neela doubled her time to learn using it on her own and now she does computer transactions with confidence. She does not easily give up when challenged.
Hardworking- she is diligent in her duty and puts effort into doing the complete her job within the shifts.
Competent - she has the ability, knowledge, and skills in all nursing procedures related to her job description.
Ms. Neela is a quiet person and has a good relationship with all members of the multi-professional team and is readily available to lend a helping hand to those who may be busy so that our patients are at the center of everything we do. I strongly believe that Ms. Neela needs to be recognized for the extra mile she goes every day for our patients and staff.
