I would like to nominate Nurse Neethu as she is always going above and beyond for her patients. I remember a few weeks ago, she had one toxic patient in a very busy shift. The patient began to deteriorate and Neethu recognized it immediately. She called the SIC and physician to review and was rechecking the patient's vital signs constantly, inserted an IV line, and started IV fluids. The family was really anxious about the patient but she reassured them constantly. Plus, she kept going back and forth to see her other patients and she did it with a smile on her face. I remember she was non-stop going up and down the corridor to complete all the orders from the physicians and even though she was under a lot of pressure she was so warm and kind at the bedside with her patient and the family. You can tell by seeing how she touches her patient's arm that she is special. That day she stayed more than two hours late just to finish her documentation. She stayed in the patient's room a lot of that time when her duty was finished. She never compromised the safety of her patients to leave on time she always put her patients first. I know that the family was really grateful for her being there for them. Neethu is an amazing person and she inspires me to be a better nurse, I am so proud to work with someone like her.
