November 2018 Honoree
neil duggan, RN
B was on the 7th floor and began complaining of stomach pain. Neil saw how distended her stomach was and called her doctor. She is 84-years-old and was very scared. He calmed her down, gave her something for the pain, and kept on the doctor to order a CT. It ended up with B in surgery at 3:00 AM for a cyst that broke and perforated her small bowel. She would have died if not for Neil. He was professional, compassionate, caring, efficient, and most of all a wonderful nurse. Please acknowledge him for his work as a nurse and an angel as a person.
Thank you, Neil, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
