I am writing to recognize and commend Nurse Neira for the outstanding care she provided to my mother during her hospital stay. Neira exemplified the very best in nursing practice through her compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. Neira showed an exceptional understanding of my mother’s dementia and went above and beyond to keep her comfortable and settled. She brought activities and gentle engagement that made a noticeable difference in my mother’s well-being. Her attentiveness to my mother’s constantly changing medications gave me great confidence that her care was safe and closely monitored.

Equally impressive was the way Neira worked seamlessly with her aides, creating a cooperative and supportive team—something especially important given the challenges of managing my mother’s incontinence. Neira also demonstrated excellent communication, keeping me well-informed of my mother’s vitals, medications, and overall condition. In addition to her clinical skills, Neira never overlooked the small but important details that contribute to patient comfort. She consistently helped with adjusting my mother’s bed, pillows, blankets, Pure-wick, TV, and table tray—always ensuring that she felt cared for and respected. Neira’s dedication, skill, and kindness made a difficult time much easier for both my mother and our family. I am deeply grateful for the care she provided.
