nerissa sac, ADN, RN, OCN

Nerissa has been a role model on our unit for decades. She is one of the most dedicated nurses I know and sets the bar very high for patient care. Recently, one of our nurses developed two forms of breast cancer requiring both a surgical procedure and chemotherapy. Nerissa was with her throughout this extensive ordeal; taking her to appointments, going on walks, luncheons, movies and crying with her at low times. When this particular nurse was able to return to work, Nerissa continued to care for her by working closely with her to make sure she was strong enough to ease back into the work environment. Nerissa is an extraordinary nurse.
