Nestor Oriola, RN

Nestor Oriola is one of the best nurses I have ever come to work with. He always comes in with a smile on his face and good bedside manner even with the rudest patients and/or relatives. One specific incident I remember was when a homeless person came in complaining of a headache. The way Nestor interacted with the patient was incredible. He talked to him with sincerity and respect. He made sure that the patient was comfortable and offered warm blankets and food.

After the patient's treatment, he made sure that the patient was seen by the patient care coordinator. Nestor was even the one who contacted several different homeless shelters just to make sure that the patient had a safe place to go. Before the patient left, Nestor even gave him a to-go bag of a sandwich and juice. Nestor is such an amazing nurse. He has been in the field of nursing for decades but has maintained his compassion for patients.
