I am a nurse, here at St. Luke's and I have recently experienced a multitude of health issues, personally. I have had 2 extended hospitalizations and both times I have stayed on Neuro 4. During my time there, I was made to feel at home. The nurses there went above and beyond to eradicate the awkwardness of being a patient in the hospital where you work. They worked diligently to keep me informed of what was happening; who was going to be my nurse and just exactly what was going on. Furthermore, they went out of their way to comfort and include my husband, my family and closest friends. There are no words to describe the difference they made in time of need. They put my mind at ease and I truly felt cared for. They all showed genuine interest in my well-being while being polite and respecting my privacy.
