All three of these nurses are EXCEPTIONAL. When I was 38 weeks pregnant with our first baby, I found out that she was breech. I had two choices: to deliver via c-section or try an ECV. I decided to try the ECV, and it was successful, with all of these nurses at my side. My baby flipped back, and we did another one at 40 weeks, and it was successful, and I was able to deliver normally. Each of these nurses stood by my side, held my hand through both ECVs and L&D, looked me in the eyes with pure compassion, and told me relentlessly I could get through it, that I was strong, that my body was designed to do this.
Those procedures were very scary as a first-time mom with a lot of late term risks, and they made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable, never rushing through a moment. I was so blessed to have all three help deliver my next two children, where we had breech presentations but were able to avoid the ECVs. From check in to check out, I felt like I had three of my mom there along my side, who loved me as if I was their own.
All three provided years of continuing support in post-partum expertise and nursing, all of them offering their personal cell phone numbers for late-night or after-hour struggles. They are the reasons behind my lengthy breastfeeding success with each child and were monumental in me being able to pull through severe post-partum depression with my second. I am eternally grateful for the gifts they bring to the table and our time together.
