We were honored to have Nic care for our mom. He shared real humor and anecdotes about his life which was authentic and kind. He had a warm, friendly smile, and gave comfort to us that our mom was in good caring hands. He explained what he was doing, displayed an attention that makes it seem like he has all time in the world to care for Mom. (Even though he was extremely busy). He infuses humor with his delivery.
Nic demonstrated all qualities of hospitality, respect, stewardship, justice, and teamwork. He demonstrated hospitality when he happily discussed sports and other issues with the family. This makes the experience normal. He showed extreme respect by speaking directly to Mom and preserving her dignity. His whole demeanor shows stewardship for this charge. He understands the "love" family has for each other. Teamwork! Of course. He worked well with everyone around him and with us, the family.
Nic is an excellent nurse and a caring person. He made Mom's day when he visited her in a different unit when she was transferred. He made her feel so special. He is a wonderful person and we really appreciate all that he did for my mom. Thank you.
