Nicholas seems to have a tender heart and understands his patients well.
Nicholas was very compassionate related to my pain and my pain levels. He never hesitated to jump in where needed and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. On the second day, Nicholas noticed that the oral medication was not really working for the pain levels that I was at. He communicated with my doctor team and asked for a continuous drip of medication. He said with a continuous drip, I was also able to push a button for more meds, if needed.
From the moment he got approval to the second he hooked me up, my pain was finally under control. I felt heard when I mentioned that I have a high pain tolerance, and the medication I was taking orally was not working. Nicholas seems to have a tender heart and understands his patients well. With my experience, the continuous drip of medications helped me wean off of them by the time he left the second day.
I didn't get to spend much time with Nicholas, only about a day and a half, but that day and a half was worthwhile when he attended to me. Nicholas is a patient, understanding, compassionate nurse, working with several types of patients like me. It doesn't take a lot of energy to have negativity in your life, but the one moment you run into someone as sincerely compassionate as Nicholas was, it surely does impact the positivity and the ease of healing quickly.
There's not a lot of positivity coming from patients related to their care, I know, as I have been in this industry for over 30 years, and I want to be sure that that is not overlooked when it comes to Nicholas and the work that he does and how vital it is to help patients succeed in their recovery.
