September 2024 Honoree
Nicholas Lazzaro, AGACNP
Nicholas came on shift in the evening. Although my case was a complicated one and there was no definitive diagnosis he instructed the nurses to continue to do EKGs and troponins.
He explained gently but firmly that he was not satisfied that my symptoms continued with no diagnosis.
He explained how he still wanted to continue to run these tests, although all the past ones had shown no changes. The EKGs he insisted on repeating did show new ischemia, which resulted in an angiogram and a treatment of my coronary occlusion.
I know Nicholas saved my life! He deserves this award and more!
Thank you, Nicholas!
