While on vacation, our son had a severe Isaac Syndrome attack. After arriving at the Peds Unit, Nick came into our room and he greeted us with a warm smile and friendly personality. I felt he understood the stress I was under. He brought with him a calmness to our room and a peacefulness to our situation. He always found the timeto reassure us with his encouraging words. Nick was thoughtful and compassionate. He went above and beyond not only with the big things but with the details, like understanding how morphine affects the body and pain if given too quickly.
He was always there to make sure our son was comfortable and not in too much pain. Nick was sweet, kind, and professional. Nick is one of a kind; even our son said, "He was the best!" He is a cut above. Working with us we could see that he loves his job, patients, and the hospital. He dedicated himself to the safety, welfare, and care of my son during this visit.
