I had to bring my three and a half year old son in because he could not bear weight and walk, an incredibly scary experience as a mom. Nick was amazing with my son and with keeping me calm. He talked him through each and every process in a way he could understand, helped him squeeze the scanner when my son was nervous, and reassured both of us that everything would be okay. From having X-rays done, to blood draws, and body checks. This was the first time my son had to have an IV and blood drawn, and Nick and the assistant were excellent with keeping everyone calm, and got it placed the first time, so it was not traumatizing. He kept us laughing and in good spirits until we had to be transferred to CHKD. I cannot thank him enough for the support during an incredibly stressful time.
