Nicholas Rueter connects with patients and families in times of great need. A patient's family thanked Nick for "giving our family the best gift ever!"
Earlier in the day, Nick spoke with the patient's family and gave them an update on their loved one that was a very hard message to deliver. Later in the day, when Nick's patient's condition improved, he made it a point to reach out to the patient's family to share the news and held up the phone to the patient. This allowed the family to hear their loved one's voice. Nick went above and beyond in taking care of the patient's family. Nick is a great example of Franciscan nursing!
