For 3 years I have battled atrial fibrillation. I was admitted to the hospital. While on the ward I was told I would need to take blood thinners along with all the other meds. I refused the blood thinner due to the fact that I was just scared to take it. I had read too many negative effects of taking them, so I simply refused to take them. Then I met Nick. He recognized I was really struggling with what I needed to do. He grabbed a few markers and drew out the heart and what was going on with me. His explanation was very detailed and very reassuring. He even went out of his way to call the cardiologist for me to get a few specific questions answered. I feel that his extra effort and true concern made me feel confident enough to take the medication. I consider Nick to be a consummate professional, a very caring human. This man truly needs to be recognized by his peers.
